All my life I have heard people tell me...
"Trust in God and leave all the consequences to Him"
I never knew how much this would come to mean to me. God really has been so good to me and continues to sustain me. However, He does not always make it easy. It is a daily choice right now to remember that He is God and knows the future even when I have no idea. Things come up all the time and when your married, money quickly becomes an issue even when you don't want it to.
Within the past few weeks we have discovered dental bills that will be coming, Joe's computer crashed and we had to get a new and better one, and our regular bills are still coming. When things happen all at once like this I have a tendency to panic and try to grab onto whatever I can so I can contain the situation. My husband is always the first to slow me down and remind me that God is still in control. And he really is so right!
This Sunday we received a check from a couple within the church for a large sum of money. This was not expected and such a huge blessing and really the only way that we are continuing to make it. But it just showed me, once again, how much God is watching us and taking care of us.
I think that in life we have to stop looking at our problems and how we feel and look to God instead. I know its easier said than done, trust me, but think about how true it is. Do I really think that my God does not know how to fix our situation or how much money would help right now? Of course He does. So if He does then He has an amazing reason and lesson in letting us weather this tough time in our life financially.
My main concern is to always focus on God and all that He has blessed me with and not what I don't have. I know that I would rather be trusting in God than a job because jobs can be gone and so can money. The one thing that is true and remains true is that He loves me and knows what I need better than I do.
So, no matter what you are going through please remember that God loves you (really loves you) more than anyone and He already has a plan for you and your life. He has it all figured out and He will show you when it is the perfect time! So enjoy your life and what you have right now, and try your best to let God handle the specifics of your future!

This is great, Crystal! Right on. :) It's a process of learning to trust Him.. it involves a lot of remembering how He has provided in the past, and remembering His character and heart, so as to have faith in the current situation!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I like to add up just how many tuition bills, medical bills and otherwise I have received in the past few years, and then just be AMAZED at how I do not have tons of debt.
It is so precious and cool to remember all the times people gave me an unexpected check, or the scholarships that I did not apply for that turned up in my account, and everything else.. little things like a rent-free house and a free car ;) and free tv, 2 free dvd players, and free bookshelves and a free bed and a free couch and free dishes and a free alarm clock.. the list goes on! :)
So, for you and Joe, be encouraged, I know God will provide just what you need, when you need it. You are living to serve Him and love others, and I know you are right where God wants you. He has a generous Father's heart so you can be sure your needs and wants matter to Him! :) Love you guys! ~Frances
Beautiful testimony! The Best!
